Is it hot? Or, is it . . .

. . . cold? The weather cannot make up its mind today. It's cloudy, windy and cool. It's sunny and hot. Don't need the weather folk to tell us that we are in for Stormy Weather some time within the next 24.
Heading for the dog park with Lulu, then maybe a walk down to the bay and the duck pond — something of a misnomer since there are sea gulls, ducks and geese the size of miniature ponies as well as alligators and snakes. Fortunately I have experienced no close encounters with reptiles lately. And then there are those license plates from Maine, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and other parts north — it's Snowbird Season. It's a bit frightening since all the drivers have white hair if they have any hair at all. 'Spose they're thankful not to have to shovel snow for a while.

I'm totally grateful that I don't have to stand on Metro North's platform waiting to get on the train to Grand Central with freezing rain and snow whipping my long coat around my boots. So I better quit complaining about the weather.

It’s Mardi Gras in Mobile & New Orleans . . .

. . . and it's cousin Michael Young's birthday in LA. Do I miss it — yeah, sometimes I long to be back in the evening writers' meeting in Pacific Palisades. I miss the bougainvillea I planted growing over the house in Venice Beach, and I miss my walks down to Electric Avenue and to Santa Monica. Glad for the experience . . . sometimes I wonder how life would have turned out if I had moved up to San Jose with the first SCEA crew and launch of Sony's Playstation. Then I remember, I am exactly where I am supposed to be at this moment.

My basil is sprouting, and the lettuce is happy outside. Down here on the third coast, I have flowers growing all year round. I walk down to the bay with the dog for my morning's meditation, and then Lulu, my white Shepherd, is too tired to interrupt me when I'm on the computer writing and learning about innovations in technology. And, Mr. Fujishima–if you are still in Tokyo, amicable Lovelace is clearly comfortable with the computer ;-)
Well, this post is certainly full of nonsequiturs — like life.

Remember The Association. . .

"It's only when you doubt yourself that you get misplaced on your shelf . . . just make some changes and see…"
And, so I jumped headlong into Posterous and hope this post works as promised.

Reflections on Inner Peace

So much gratitude that there is no drama in my life. Serenity on a beautiful, clear cool morning on the third coast.
