I don’t drink coffee, I drink tea, my dear.

I began telling stories when I was five and I started writing little stories when I was eight. They were pretty awful. I love to read. I love books and I love hearing stories. During my career, I lived in NYC and Los Angeles where I worked in publishing and on movies. Then, when I was eligible for Social Security, I challenged myself to change.

I traveled through India and SE Asia like a 20-year-old on a gap year. Although not recommended for the faint-hearted, the challenge launched adventures. Experiences morphed into my novel Meet Me in Mumbai. Stay tuned. I’m revising it.

Discovering books, authors and Indian cinema through the travel and from people I met became my podcast Bollywood and Books.

Now I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama in a little town on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. I like to think of home as fictional Mayberry with a Gothic twist. I also serve communities in need as disaster worker when I’m called to travel.

When I’m not traveling - and that’s not at all these days because of Coronavirus, I’m writing, reading, working on the next podcast, listening to music and dreaming of the next big adventure.

In the year of Covid-19, while working from home and in isolation, I adopted two mischievous tailless cats and a third cat with six toes adopted me. They are the Manx twins, Doc and Bess, and my mellow fellow, Six Toes. Life is not dull.
